VINYL MANIA BREAKS OUT AT THE BLUE NOTE

March 10, 2018

An unprecedented Blue Note awaits the guests on Saturday 10 March, starting at 7.30pm for an evening – the Blue Vinyl Nite – created in collaboration with Radio Monte Carlo in the name of novelty and exclusivity.

Five hours of DJ sets, hosted by Nick the Nightfly and Kay Rush (with Maurizio Di Maggio live on radio), with some of the best names on the international and Italian scene joined by jazz musicians to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the venue.
On the stage will perform one after another the leader of the famous English soul and funk music band INCOGNITO Jean Paul “Bluey” Maunick with his bassist Francis Hylton, who will arrive directly from London to play an exclusive DJ set created for the Blue Vinyl Nite.
Nicola Conte, who brought his original jazz bossa nova sound to the most important venues and festivals in the world, will present for the occasion a new afro jazz dance sound.
The DJs from Radio Monte Carlo Pat Rich and Marco Fullone, from the famous Monte Carlo Nights radio program, will bring the audience into the sound and history of acid jazz and deep soulful house.
Not only vinyl, but also live music with the trumpeter Pepe Ragonese and the keyboardist Pancho Ragonese who will improvise during the music chosen by the DJs to create another type of jazz dance. At the end of the evening an explosive vinyl jam session among the DJs.
For vinyl lovers, the surprises do not end here. Inside the Club we will set up a record store that will sell new, exclusive, and original vinyl records of jazz soul funk and a careful selection of collector’s items.

“It will be a unique event,” stated Andrea De Micheli and Luca Oddo, respectively CEO and President of Casta Diva Group, owner of Blue Note, “for which we have gathered the best DJs and jazz musicians. A special moment for #Celebrate15. This is the Blue Note we want! Traditional and innovative at the same time to approach a heterogeneous public”, conclude the two.
